Melissa Pape is a Colorado-based artist whose passion lies in creating vibrant, abstract acrylic paintings that reflect her faith, exploring the human experience, and sharing her love of nature. Her pieces offer a captivating blend of fluid movement, bold colors, and intricate details.
Melissa studied art at Northwest Nazarene University and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts. As a member of Christos Collective and Thompson Valley Art League, she enjoys exhibiting her art, connecting with artists, developing her creative practice, and helping others grow through peer mentoring groups.
In addition to creating beautiful works of art, Melissa has shared her love of art through teaching art lessons privately, in schools, and after-school clubs and leading workshops at churches, retreats, and universities.

Texture
As an artist, I am constantly inspired by the beauty surrounding us. My paintings are vibrant and abstract, and I enjoy building texture with palette knives and creating expressive marks with various mediums.
Layers & Meaning
I use thin washes of High Flow Acrylics to create transparent layers that give each painting a sense that there is more to discover. I also draw inspiration from the joys and challenges of life. For me, art is not just a means of self-expression, but a powerful avenue through which we can navigate and make sense of the human experience.
Wonder
Through my art, I endeavor to provide beauty, inspire wonder, and help others imagine and live more meaningful, hope-filled lives that ebb and flow with the seasons of life.
