Who we are:

Christos Collective is a group of artists of Christian faith offering their talents to the public in exhibition, educational panel discussions, and community engagement projects as a means to share their faith.

Mission:

To cultivate artists of Christian faith to embrace their vocation as ambassadors of the Holy Spirit, and impact culture through their art and

art practice.

Objective:

To grow artists of Christian faith spiritually, artistically, and professionally through programming and community building.

Vision:

God’s benevolent presence is powerfully known and welcome in arts and culture.

Faith Statement:

We believe in a triune God who created all things. Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, came into the world to redeem mankind. God’s Holy Spirit is powerfully present in the world to help human beings participate in the creativity of God. We base our beliefs on historically agreed upon doctrinal teachings as authority in the Bible alone.

Our Values:

We Are About the Divine

Spirituality: We believe art is spiritual for both the artist and the observer. It speaks to the deepest needs of the human heart, to our longing for something beyond ourselves.

Wonder: We foster artistic excellence—awakening artists and audiences alike to the awe and wonder of this world. commitment to create beautiful and humanizing products, services, and spaces, backed by truthful and God-honoring brands and narratives

Transcendence: Through art, we transcend the here and now. We find communion with an eternal Creator, and we become mindful of things unseen.

We are about the Common Good

Community: Because humans flourish through fellowship, our intentional communities support each other artistically, professionally and spiritually.

Ambassadorship: Our artists serve as ambassadors of the Holy Spirit. Their work brings a spiritual dimension to the ordinary and an ordinary dimension to the spiritual.

Reciprocity: Visual art inhabits the space where immanence and transcendence meet. Artistic vision connects the reality of our daily lives to the mystery of shared existence, for deeper spiritual meaning

Transformation: Through visual art we offer a hospitality of the imagination for all to experience transformation by encountering sacred reality. Humility

We Are About Professional Excellence

Integrity: We are united in our goals and what we believe we can accomplish. We all value honesty, reliability and dependability, and we prioritize substance over spectacle.

Transparency: We practice quality control, and we have improvement strategies for all our programs. This creates transparency for everyone involved.

Accountability: We take responsibility when things go wrong. We choose integrity over convenience, and we seek to learn from our mistakes.

Christos Collective is grounded in biblical principles and is committed to the creation and exhibition of artwork that reflects the mission, vision, and core values of the organization. In community partnerships and exhibition spaces, our values go with us to collaborate in advancing God’s benevolent presence in arts and culture.

Our Story:

Christos Collective is a nonprofit organization that supports artists of Christian faith to use their artistic gifts for God’s Glory. The development and growth of the collective is an answer to a call to reclaim God’s voice in the arts. Artist members of Christos Collective are empowered to reach excellence in their art, and to share a Christian worldview in their process and content. This can take many forms in the contemporary world of art.

To assist this development, the collective offers programming to churches and universities that include exhibition of art, artist talks and panels, and a community outreach component. It is our intention to develop patronage and donors from this home base. Christos Collective believes that this way of connecting provides the artists with opportunities to share their gifts in a safe environment as they grow towards independence in presenting their gifts to the world at large, to include galleries and other venues.

Our artist cultivation program fosters spiritual and professional development for the individual artist so they can become independent in their call and journey to serve the Lord with their gifts and talents.

Our vision is to eventually own real estate, establishing a cornerstone in the art community, which would allow us to offer exhibitions, studio work space, workshops, lectures, and community events that share God’s love through the arts.
